Research Assistant under Dr. Nuggehalli Ravindra
(Summer 2024)
Awarded a $5000 Provost URI Summer Fellowship funded by PSE&G to design and test a magnetic levitation (MAGLEV) vertical-axis wind turbine (VAWT) system. I developed a working prototype to compare the efficiency of a MAGLEV vs non-MAGLEV system across 3 different blade sizes. I conducted experimental performance testing and analysis using a wind tunnel, presented findings at the URI Summer Symposium, and later co-authored my first research paper with Dr. Ravindra.
Research Assistant Under Dr. Petras Swissler
(February 2025 - present)
In Swissler’s Innovative Robotics Lab, I contribute to ongoing research and development in modular robotic systems and advanced manufacturing workflows. I am developing a comprehensive workflow guide for a Pocket NC CNC machine to make operation and training intuitive for new lab members and anyone hoping to learn the machine. I also assist in manufacturing and assembly of self-assembling robotic conveyor systems designed to rapidly deliver supplies in disaster or unstructured environments. In parallel, I created proof of concept robotic platforms to demonstrate the lab’s modular electronic system, showcasing its scalability and functionality across a distributed system.
Professional
Mechatronics Engineer at Gray Beard Solutions LLC
(October 2024 - present)
At Gray Beard Solutions, a small military contractor, I manage and provide high-precision 3D printing and rapid prototyping services for businesses. I consult with businesses to identify the best manufacturing methods and develop customized production solutions tailored to their technical needs. In addition to manufacturing, I’ve contributed to defense-orientated R&D projects, including leading research on capturing electromagnetic signatures from gunshots and explosives. I continue to assist in multidisciplinary projects for advanced defense applications.
Mechanical Engineering Intern at SAVIT Corporation
(December 2024 - July 2025)
As a mechanical engineering intern at SAVIT Corporation, I was directly involved in the assembly and testing of mechanical parts, collaborating closely with technicians and engineers throughout the process of production. I assisted in conducting detailed component inspections to verify reliability and compliance with engineering specifications. This experience strengthened me in areas of quality assurance and manufacturing workflows.
